Many customers know they can get pyrolysis oil from a waste tire/plastic/oil sludge pyrolysis machine and can earn money to sell this kind of output oil. But they don’t is the pyrolysis oil light or heavy and don’t know much about the parameters of pyrolysis oil.

The differences of light oil and heavy pyrolysis oil:
Difference of light oil and heavy oil
1.Density
Light oils generally have a lower density, typically ranging from 0.7 to 0.9 g/cm³.
Pyrolysis oils have a higher density, ranging from 1.1 to 1.3 g/cm³.
2.Viscosity
Pyrolysis oils are more viscous and flow less freely, whose viscosity can be affected by its chemical makeup of raw material.
3.Chemical Composition
Light oils usually contain a higher percentage of low molecular weight hydrocarbons, such as gasoline and diesel range compounds.
Pyrolysis oils are rich in high molecular weight hydrocarbons and may also contain more impurities and heteroatoms like sulfur and nitrogen.
4.Heating value
Light oils have a higher heating value, typically ranging from 30–40 MJ/kg.
Pyrolysis oils have a lower heating value, typically ranging from 15–25 MJ/kg.
5.Application
Light oils usually used as a fuel for combustion, such as in engines or boilers.
Pyrolysis oils usually used primarily for heating purposes or in industrial boilers, such as cement factory,brick factory.
Usages of pyrolysis oil
