The purposes of the softening in production line

Softening is regulated fuel moisture and temperature, to soften. The increase of plastic process. In order to make the flaking effect to achieve the requirements for low oil content of soybean, rapeseed and cottonseed moisture less oil, softening is indispensable. For soybean, because of low oil content, hard texture, if coupled with less water, the temperature is not high, without softening of flaking, is bound to produce a lot of powder; the low water content of rapeseed (especially old rapeseed), without softening of flaking, is hard to to meet the requirements.

Needs to be pointed out is, the higher oil content oilseed, should consider carefully whether softening. For example, peanuts are generally not softening; new harvest rapeseed, when the moisture content is higher than 8%, are generally not soften, otherwise, flaking when easy sticky roller surface and difficult operation.
